Dr Karen is a Certified AI Consultant, a social media and public relations educator, researcher, consultant, author and speaker with more than 20 years' industry experience. Dr Karen has worked in a wide range of marketing, public relations and communication roles for organizations such as Monash University, ABCTV, Fremantle Media, and the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.
Dr Karen won the 2022 Gold Stevie Award for Woman of the Year - Social Media, and was announced as the Best Social Media Educator of the Year for 2020 by the Social Media Marketing Institute. She has also won the 2021 Australasian Council of Deans of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (DASSH) Award for Education, Innovation and Employability.
Dr Karen leads social media education at an Australian university, is the co-author of Public Relations and Strategic Communication published by Oxford University Press, co-author of Transmedia Brand Storytelling by Palgrave Macmillan, and the sole author of the award-winning book Strategic Social Media Management – Theory and Practice downloaded more than 120k times.
Gina has worked with individuals, small businesses, nonprofits, and startups worldwide to create achievable operating plans and execute effective digital marketing strategies with focus on website and YouTube search engine optimization (SEO).
Oxford Online English, Express Pros Heating and Cooling, the SplitSmart divorce litigation app, the Denver Silent Film Festival, and more have implemented Gina's digital strategy to generate brand awareness and develop a loyal customer base.
